Farhad Naseh, MD

Education
Dr. Farhad Naseh attended Temple University School of Medicine, where he graduated with honors with an Alpha Cum Laude degree in 1994. He continued his medical training with an internship in General Surgery in Georgetown University Medical School in Washington, D.C. in 1995. He successfully achieved his dream of becoming an Ophthalmologist by completing an Ophthalmology residency at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York in 2000.

Recognitions and Awards
Dr. Naseh was selected as one of America's Top Ophthalmologists by the Consumer's Research Council of America. In addition, Dr. Naseh is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. Dr. Naseh was involved with extensive research at the NIH in Bethesda during his internship in 1996, in the Department of Ophthalmology.

Experience and Services
Dr. Naseh has vast experience in treating medical and surgical conditions in Ophthalmology. He has performed thousands of micro-surgical eye procedures, including advanced cataract surgery, cornea transplants , Lasik, Photorefractive Keratectomy (PRK), glaucoma surgeries and retina detachments. He has also performed thousands of laser treatments for diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, macular degeneration, retina tears, retina vein occlusions and other eye pathology.

Background
Dr.Naseh has had a strong interest in helping people restore their sense of sight from an early age. After completing his extensive training in 2000, Dr. Naseh returned to Washington D.C. Metropolitan Area, where he started his private practice in Ophthalmology. He continues to practice in Maryland, where he has successfully established a reputation as a knowledgeable clinician and an experienced, high quality surgeon.

Dr. Farhad Naseh is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology, a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. Prema Modak, MD

Dr. Prema Modak received her medical degree through a combined 7 yr. dual B.S./M.D. degree program. She received her B.S. degree from Stevens Institute of Technology, majoring in Chemical Biology and her M.D. degree from New Jersey Medical School in her home state of New Jersey. She completed her medical training in comprehensive ophthalmology from the George Washington University Hospital, where she served as chief resident.

After graduation, Dr. Modak worked at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Martinsburg, West Virginia for several years, and has been in private practice in the Washington, DC area since 2010. She is a board certified ophthalmologist and has a special interest in integrative ophthalmology and prevention of age acquired eye conditions. She believes in treating the whole patient, specifically using ocular health as a window to overall physical well-being.
 
 

Ghada Orkubi, MD

After completing medical school at Alexandria University of Egypt, Dr. Orkubi held a yearlong clinical fellowship in pediatrics at Harvard medical school 1988. Following her fellowship, she began her residency in ophthalmology at the Bowman Gray/Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston Salem, NC in 1993. In 1995, she completed a combined fellowship in Glaucoma and Cornea at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology since 1995, Dr. Orkubi served as an assistant professor of Ophthalmology at Drexel University School of Medicine. She is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and American Academy of Ophthalmology, as well as a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.

Dr. Orkubi is an experienced cataract, glaucoma, and anterior segment surgeon. She is on the forefront of the latest technological advances, including multifocal intraocular lenses (IOLs) and the most recent glaucoma surgical techniques.
 
 

Sara Tavassoli O.D.

Dr. Sara Tavassoli earned her Doctorate of Optometry degree from the New England college of Optometry in Boston in 2005, where she was awarded the William R. Baldwin Scholastic Achievement Award and membership into the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society.

She is licensed in the use of diagnostic and therapeutic agents for treating various ocular diseases. She is certified by the National Board of Examiners in Optometry and Maryland Board of Examiners in Optometry. She has been chosen by Consumer’s Research Council of America one of America’s top optometrists in 2013.

Dr. Tavassoli’s skills include providing comprehensive eye examinations, single-vision and multifocal contact lens fittings, specialty contact lens fitting ,pre- and post-operative care for various ocular surgeries, diabetic eye examinations, management of ocular emergencies, and co-management of glaucoma.

Tamara Mendez O.D.

Dr. Tamara Mendez earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University in Philadelphia, PA in 2015. In addition to her studies she served as Vice President of Students in Optometric Services to Humanity (SOSH) where she helped fundraise, coordinate, and participate in a humanitarian trip to Haiti. Additionally, she pursued advanced studies in Anterior Segment prior to graduating from Salus University in 2015. Following graduation, Dr. Mendez completed her residency in Primary Care with emphasis in Pediatrics and Binocular Vision at Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Prior to pursuing her doctorate, Dr. Mendez received her undergraduate degree in Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County in 2009. Dr. Mendez performs comprehensive, diabetic, and glaucoma exams as well as contact lens fittings. Moreover, her expertise is diagnosing, treating and managing binocular vision conditions.
